79 Groundhog Day

February 2, 2020Podcast

It’s Groundhog Day! So obviously we watched Harold Ramis’ 1993 masterpiece “Groundhog Day” starring Bill Murray, Andie McDowell, and Chris Elliott FOUR TIMES! We watched it over and over and over just like Bill Murray lives the same day over and over and over. Get it? Get it‽

Sorry, we’re a little delirious. We recorded a bit between each viewing and do we uncover more nuance each time? Not really, but at least we repeat ourselves a lot. But it’s on purpose and totally meta. GET IT‽

Near the end things really get out of control and our children hijack our mics so we hope you enjoy that. And we give a shout out to a good podcast called “Any Album You Like” that also included repeated viewings of something. You should just listen to that podcast.

Sorry the edit is a little rough, but we had to get it out today because what if there is no tomorrow? There wasn’t one today!

78 Hottest Songs of ’94

December 16, 2019Podcast

So.

It’s so. And murderer. It’s murderer.

This is the “Misheard Lyrics” episode of I Never Saw That. So feel free to to laugh at us. Also laugh with us though, because we laugh with each other a lot and we have a lot of fun talking about the top songs on Billboard’s Hot 100 at the end of 1994. We talk about four songs in this episode and didn’t hear the correct lyrics to at least two of them. So 50/50. We’ll take those odds!

Also, I talk SO all the time doesn’t make any goddamn sense so, whatever, slow is better. None of the other song we screwed up makes any sort of sense so “werdemup” works just as well if not better. WE FIXED YOUR SONGS LISA LOEB AND INI KAMOZE! YOU’RE WELCOME!!! Boyz, we can’t fix your shit. Sorry.

Thanks for listening!

77 Jen Solo: INST Travel Edition

November 21, 2019Podcast

This episode is technically an episode. It is not good but at least it’s short! It’s just Jen, talking about some stuff. Our travels, a little bit of Montana, and some Randy Quaid (Uncle Eddie) from National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation.

One thing Jen realized after listening to this is that if she would have lowered her voice just a little bit this could have been an ASMR episode! Feel free to listen to this one at bedtime!

76 Tommy Boy

October 29, 2019Podcast

This week we’re joined by a very special guest and friend of the podcast, Elliott! Jen and Elliott watched 1995’s Tommy Boy, the Chris Farley and David Spade classic, and Elliott shares his thoughts and innermost feelings. Micah didn’t watch it so he doesn’t talk about it much, but he does have another installment of everyone’s favorite segment for you, his fans. Jen finally brings back everyone’s least favorite segment, so there’s that too.

Enjoy!

75 The Quick and the Dead

October 14, 2019Podcast

We’re back with The Quick and the Dead! A different sort of western we guess? Who needs a plot when you have guns?

This one’s a little long but we hope that since we haven’t released an episode in a damn month you won’t mind.

Micah tries something new with see you in the funny papers this week, and one thing we can say about that is that it was definitely a thing we did and that it made Jen look like a real dillhole who cannot pick up on very obvious hints.

Jen mostly gushes about Gene Hackman, who owns her heart *and* this damn town.

74 All the Tattoo of Death Endings and Miscellanea

September 15, 2019Podcast

Well, this is a weird one. And that’s saying a lot if you look back at our oeuvre. There’s some ‘90s comic strip education, a little adventure choosing, some heavy talk of Montana and parental relationships, and a description of a game we play that we ripped off from a popular television show. See if you can keep up.

SPOILER ALERT: We are about to ruin — no, that’s not the right word. It’s impossible to ruin something that is this bad. We’re about to give away all the endings to the R.A. Montgomery book “Tattoo of Death.” We’re not reading them all word for word, we’re just recapping. Originally we were going to do a 13-episode Tattoo of Death miniseries, called Tattoo of Death:The Miniseries:The Revenge. But now we’re not, OK? That was a ludicrous idea! This is better!

As for the other content, I don’t even know what to say. Good luck I guess. And thank you.
